The Asylum's History?

Picture
Mercy Asylum Productions once started as a small family event then grew into a full-fledged, community-driven, Non-profit, Production Company. Jacob Blake and his family, Lauri, Mike, Kruce, and Sarah, started a haunted house named "mercy asylum" because Jacob and Kruce each received a wish from the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern Florida When they were younger. Jacob had a cavernous malformation in his left temporal lobe and suffered from seizures. For his wish, he got to meet Cher at the age of 11. Kruce suffered from Dandy-Walker Syndrome and Hydrocephalus. He had a shunt placed in his brain. For his wish, he received a graphic gaming computer at the age of 14. Jacob wanted to show other kids that they can fight for their life too, by a simple donation of time and care." It gives them hope, It sure did for me, if I didn't get that wish I don't know what would I be like today, That simple "donation" for my life shaped my whole trajectory of careers and outlook." Says Jake. They have raised over $15,000.00, for Make-a-wish of Southern Florida Chapter over the past 14 years. All to help make a child's wish come true just like Jacob's did. After the sudden passing of his father Michael Blake in 2021, Jake and his mother, Lauri Blake wanted to honor his memory and have now turned this 15-year commitment into Mercy Asylum Productions Inc., an official non-profit organization with the goal of producing events throughout the year to generate funds to benefit local families, communities, and various charities. After progress and work, Mercy Asylum Production company Organization was born in 2021.  Now the Fundraising and awareness can outreach to more charities and families in need. We continue to grow the haunted house each year to raise awareness for Make-A-Wish. We strive to grow and continue outreaching and teaching about the full cycle of production, working in collaboration with professionals to raise funds to impact charities, families, and communities. Other events we produce throughout the year will contribute to the haunt season each year. We hope to see you, whether you are a victim of Mercy Asylum's Annual Haunted house productions. Whatever Mercy Asylum Productions role you choose, you know the money raised, hard work, dedication all pours into 100% non-profit donations to our charities of choice in our local community and families. Making significant positive impact's on the world, one scare at a time.
