The Asylum's History?

Picture
From Family Fun to Fearless Giving: The Story of Mercy Asylum Productions:

Mercy Asylum Productions, a vibrant non-profit organization, began as a simple family tradition. Born from the heartfelt wishes of two brothers, Jakeup and Kruce Blake, who both battled childhood illnesses. The haunted house has evolved into a community-driven force for good.Jakeup and Kruce who courageously both faced brain surgery received a life-changing wish from the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern Florida. These experiences profoundly impacted their lives, inspiring them to give back. As Jakeup poignantly shares, "If I didn't get that wish, I don't know what I would be like today. That 'granted wish' shaped my whole trajectory, career and outlook on life." Driven by this powerful belief in the transformative power of wishes, the Blake family has dedicated more than 14 years to raising over $15,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, bringing joy and hope to countless children.
Following the loss of their father, Michael Blake in 2020, from an aortic dissection. Jakeup and his mother Lauri transformed their family's annual haunt into Mercy Asylum Productions Inc., an official non-profit organization. Their journey still continues while aiming for the same goals and advocating for their core charities; The vEDS Movement, And Make-a-Wish of Southern Fl.
